The name Rudi Hütte is no coincidence: the grandfather, the father, and even the current host of the Egarter family are all named Rudi. Together, they transformed what was once a simple alpine hut into a beloved gathering spot in the Sesto Dolomites. As a chef, host, entrepreneur, and passionate musician, Rudi Egarter—together with his wife Flora—has shaped the hut’s character for decades. Well known as part of the ‘Sextner Trio,’ he fills the room with both music and joy, whether he’s playing the guitar or the zither. Today, their son Andreas continues the Rudi Hütte tradition together with his family.
